My cat was diagnosed with fibrosarcoma and after having the tumor removed, we are electing for radiation treatment to ensure there are no more cancer cells left behind. The problem is, no veterinary oncologists perform radiation in our area. We have to take him two and a half hours away for treatment which means he will have to stay in the veterinary hospital for the duration. He will be there almost four weeks. Has anyone had to do something like this? Was your cat ok when they came home? I am worried about my little guy because he is such a sensitive little soul - I’d hate to think that he was scared or worse that he thought we left him for good.
