HELP! I hate my cat but don't want to take her to a shelter to die. She's also hurting my marriage / family.

I have a female Tabby who is 8 years old. She's very nice to me, but is extremely aggressive to any and all other people. She even scratched our three-year-old son on his face in the middle of the night once, when he walked into our room because he was scared. That was horrible. We've tried transitioning her to be an outdoor cat and she is absolutely miserable. It may have made things worse, actually.

In addition to this, I am pregnant--which means I am not able to change her litter. So, my husband, who despises her, has to clean the box for the next several months. Oh, and she shits on the floor (on carpet no less) at least 2 times a day in addition to her litter box. So, it's safe to say my husband isn't pleased about these fun elements that have resulted due to "my" cat. He's being a good sport, but honestly, I don't blame him for being irritated. Long story short, the cat brings NO joy to our lives. In fact, it's the exact opposite. She is a source of stress, anxiety and fear. I know I could drop her off at the Humane Society, but I believe she would be put down due to behavioral issues, despite their "no kill" status. I've tried to network and find her a new home via friends and family. No one wants her.

I'm at the point where I need to just make a decision. I truly do not want her in our house anymore, but I don't have the heart to just "get rid of her." Any advice would be greatly appreciated. P.S. She's been to the vet and is fine. I am not interested in paying money to put her on kitty Prozac or something to mellow her out because I don't want her anyways. Really looking for an adoption solution that will not result in certain death.
