2 months ago my dog Lily went missing after she had followed my other dog Tracy out of the gate. ( I would like to clarify that I am not okay with them leaving but sometimes its inevitable, especially when we have visitors who don't close the gate well.) Tracy knows her way around the neighborhood, she'll take a small walk, visiting dogs and sniffing around, sticking to the sidewalk, and I don't have to worry of her coming back pregnant because she is spayed. Lily on the other hand is less than a year old and does not know her way around.

So one day, 2 months ago they got out and Tracy came back alone. I went out looking Lily for the first few days but never found her. I called the pound, but they also didn't find her. The first day she went missing I would look out on the street to check if she had been run over (unsettling thought). I didn't like giving myself false hope so after a week I was convinced that she was lost and had been run over, but everyone else thought she had been taken since she was so tiny.
After 2 months didn't think much of it, I obviously missed her and it would break my heart a little each time i thought about how she must have being alone. Than my dad comes home with a little surprise. OMG it was Lily!!!!
Apparently my dad found her wondering the streets following a man on his way back from the store. When he got back home he got took my sisters car and went back so he wouldn't look like a creep. He called Lily and she came running to him *sobbing*.
Lily seems to be well fed, dirty and filled with ticks and fleas ( she had a ridiculous amount). So basically someone did take her but we took her back and are contempt with our lives. We are now in second day of getting rid of fleas and ticks. I would also like to mention that Lily is now more savage, the streets really changed her.
