My cat is about as friendly as a cactus and hates pretty much everyone, so when I brought home some plumeria flowers to make leis, I was pretty surprised when she actually came over to me and started sniffing the flowers.
She really liked those flowers. She wasn't licking or eating them, but after a few minutes, she started getting twitchy. She'd run the length of the couch or jump on and off other furniture, which she does once in a blue moon but never when there are icky people around (she really, really hates everyone). If she'd been human, I'd have said she was high as a kite. As it is...she's high as a kite.
I Googled plumeria and cats. Turns out the flowers are toxic to cats. Who knew?
