I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this, but looking for advice on cat odour control. I love my roommate, and his cat, but he is very defensive (roommate not cat!) and can be hot headed so hard to address this situation. His cat is an indoor, and I just got home from a trip and really noticed a strong smell in the house. I'm wondering if there's anything I can do to help it or cover it up? He is careful about any house fragrance as he knows some can be unsafe for cats. He uses non clumping litter and I think only changes it once a week (scooping out poos a bit quicker), and if it were me I would be changing the litter he's using and changing it more often. But I know if I suggest that he will get very defensive and it will cause problems in the house.
I'd love any suggestions on how to make the house smell a bit fresher discreetly to not cause any arguments or hurt feelings. Are there any nice smelling house products safe for cats or any other tips? Many thanks!
