I have two dachshunds turning 7 this year and through the years they’ve grown to hate me and it’s the most depressing thing I’ve ever had to deal with. When they were puppies they used to sleep in my bed and give me all the puppy kisses. Then when they were 7 months old I went away for two months to visit my grandmother and had to leave them with my brothers who were staying home. It’s never been the same since.
They only want to sleep in my brothers room, they only want to be around my mom and brothers, when I call their names they run to my brothers room, if I bring them to my room they whine the entire time until they are let out. Two years ago they started growling at me after I picked one up when she was sitting with my mom and it’s become a regular thing because they all began petting them and going “poor baby! Is Terrythemerry bullying you!” whenever they did it.
I’m the one who walks them, I’m the one who buys their food, I’m the one who gives them treats in the morning and they want nothing to do with me. It breaks my heart and I’ve gone to bed crying many a night because of it. I honestly don’t know what else I can do.
