When I first got my cat she was quiet but she now meows for minutes on end every 20 minutes or so. I've been feeding her on a schedule for several months since my vet and people here advised it. It helped at first but she is now meowing just as much if not more. I think she does this for attention so I've tried just ignoring her until she stops meowing. However when I try that she won't stop meowing and has even gone on for 30 minutes on multiple occasions. It has become very distracting and frustrating and makes it hard to get work done.
Does anyone have any advice on what to do next? Has ignoring your cat until they're quiet to give attention worked for you? Tomorrow I'm calling my vet for advice and to ask about the possibility of this being a medical issue. For now I wanted to get some advice here.
