I was out playing with my two dogs yesterday when I decided to visit my moms. Out of nowhere my neighbors 3 pit bulls, pits are my favorite dogs and I have nothing against the breed, came onto my property and began attacking my very small female dog. This caused my male, fixed, to defend her and began attacking back. He wasn’t a match for 3 dogs against him. My mother and I jumped into the fight, even though know it was dangerous for us, but we couldn’t watch our boy be attacked like that. They ripped him apart as we tried so desperately to get them away from him. Finally the owners of the dogs came over and helped us. My small dog is okay thankfully. She’s very old and would of been killed so fast if it wasn’t for my other dog. My boy on the other hand is so tore up. We rushed him to the vet. He’s missing chucks from his body, holes everywhere, and they even almost ripped both of his ears off. He’s home today and is on many pain pills and antibiotics from the vet. He’s in so much pain and it breaks my heart to see my boy like this. What can I do to help him? Is there anything I should be watching for due to his injuries? I’m sorry for asking this. I just don’t know what to do for him. He saved my senior dogs life and I want to help him the best I can.
