Why does my cat try to bury his food AFTER eating?

I hope this is a good place to ask but am open to other suggestions if not -

I keep digging online for answers to this out of my own curiosity, but I can only find information on why a cat might do this before eating or when food is still in the bowl. Why would my cat only do this once all of their food is already gone?
