Worried about a very skinny dog

Hey folks! I posted here awhile back about how I wanted a dog but my lifestyle was travel-heavy and I didn't want to be neglectful. But then, covid happened, and at the same time my parents put their house up for sale, so I offered to take in their dog, who is half sheep dog half poodle, for a few months.

This dog is the best. But, there's something I've always worried about, she's very skinny. I don't know how skinny, we joke that she's just a stick figure with fur, she's so furry I'm going by touch here, but her ribs definitely extend past her belly a little, and I just, whenever I pet her and realize how little dog is there I get a bit worried

Her behavior doesn't indicate anything is wrong, but it never does. This dog never whines about anything, or gives any indication things are bad. When I feed her, I know how hungry she was based on how excited she is to have food now, but prior to feeding her she gives no indication that she's hungry. She never goes to the bathroom inside, and never lets me know when she has to go, so I have to take her walking all the time just in case

Etc etc, you get it. There's no reason to believe she's suffering, but I don't think she'd give any indication if she WAS suffering. If I pour food in the bowl, she will eat what she wants and leave some in the bowl for later. There's food in the bowl right now, and she's sleeping here on the ground, seemingly happy as a clam.

But, Idk, she's so skinny. I guess I'm looking for reassurance haha. Like, what if she's actually really hungry but just doesn't like the food? Or, what if she's eating less than she ought to be because of some other issue?

She's always been super skinny and never been one to complain, so I dunno
