I'm pretty much at my wits end with this ongoing issue. I adopted a pair of sibling domestic short hairs and for the most part they get along great but all of that changed a few nights ago when the female went into her first estrus cycle. Now before anyone asks if they are desexed, the answer is no due to covid I have been unable to book appointments to have them spayed/neutered. January next year would be the earliest time available to get into any vets near me. Now the male will try to mount her and bite her neck scruff and he is relentless to the point where I've had to start keeping them completely separated for the majority of the day in different rooms. Any reddit advice to help guide me through this tough situation??
