Context: I am not a pet owner. Last night I was woken at 2am by the screeching (what I thought it was) of a certain animal. After a while I realised that the screeching sounded like a cat. The screeching was occasionally soft (most of the time it was loud), and had a regular interval of about 1s between each screech. It lasted around 5 to 10 mins.
Dear pet lovers of Reddit, what do you think could be the cause of the screeching? What could have caused a cat to behave this way?
