I have a three month old kitten who weighs 3 pounds. He's up to date on vaccinations and vet checks and our vet has said they schedule neuters at their clinic for 6 months. Is this too late to get my cat neutered? I've read online that some cats become sexually mature at 4 months and I really don't want him to learn any spraying behaviour. My vet says the reason they wait until 6 months is so that they can keep an eye on his adult teeth coming in and if there are any issues that need to be dealt with they can do it while he's out for the neuter. Is this an okay time to get him neutered or should I be looking at other clinics to get him fixed earlier? Thank You!
