Hi everyone. I have a big 8 kilo male cat and a tiny female toy poodle. I adopted the cat two years ago but no one could really tell us how old he was, and the puppy is just about to turn one year old in a few days. The puppy grown up with the cat. Yesterday after I came home I found out there’s a big wound on my dog’s head, doesn’t look like a scratch or a bite to me but I couldn’t figure out any other way how she got hurt. My partner insisted it was the cat that bit the dog’s head.
Our cat is very gentle with humans, only attacks us when his food bowl is empty. He’s not a big fan of other animals, but never had a problem with the puppy since the first day we brought her home. They can get a bit rough when they’re playing but he never actually hurt her like that before, it’s the puppy that beat the cat up most of the time and I had to tell her off. I really couldn’t understand what could hurt the puppy like that, could it be the cat, though?
