Cat with Kidney Problems

So I’ve had my lil black cat, Seven, for a couple years now. He was a stray kitten that we brought in and we love him. He’s FIV+ which has never been an issue to us. Well, since getting him we have spent thousands of dollars on medical care for him. I’m starting to get worried that it isn’t sustainable financially and we’d have to give him to a rescue. He’s prone to kidney problems and has had surgery to remove kidney stones twice as well as a perineal urethrostomy. He’s on prescription wet food, he was at one point on prescription dry food, he’s had all types of urinary support supplements. He’s currently at the vet for his third round with kidney stones. Is there any last resort thing we can try? I feel like we’re at the end of the rope in terms of treatments.
