Coconut oil to get rid of fleas

I was wondering if coconut oil will be safe for my kitten to get rid off her fleas.she has a lot and i dont want to out her health at risk. Currently she has diarrhea and it might be because she is now eating wet food. Can the o worsen her diarrhea
