Correcting bad potty habits as she's doing it?

I'm trying to potty train my 6 month old puppy, getting her on a routine diet so we can schedule routine potty breaks. Peeing isn't usually a big deal, she pees on her puppy pad and is starting to go outside now. But pooping, for some reason, is a totally different ball game. I try to stop her right when she squats and that results in her running, then when I take her outside it seems she's either too distracted and forgot to poop or she's trying to run back inside so that can poop where she wanted to. But then she doesn't poop at all until maybe later.

So I'm wondering if it isn't a good idea to interrupt the pooping in the first place and if it could cause some kind of....poop complex? It's like she shits on my carpet out of spite.
