My female cat, Niko (19) will make this weird grunting noise (that kind of sounds like quickly trilling your lips with a deep tone) to my cat Jim (16) any time he gets too close to her. I’m assuming it means she’s annoyed with him but I’m just wondering if anyone else has had cats who do this and if anyone knows what it means?
