So I really hope this is the right subreddit, and if it isn't please direct me to the correct one, but I have an issue. My male tabby cat, Oli, and my female shih tzu/weiner dog mix, Charlie, have lived with each other since late July with little to no issue. They were a bit nervous of each other at first but are fine now. Well, were fine. All of a sudden recently they've been very territorial and Charlie chases off Oli whenever he's in the room or close to her. And now, when I have Oli in my room he's all antsy because it smells like Charlie. What in the world can I do about this?? I'm thinking about putting Charlie on a leash and holding her back whenever Oli is in the room, but I genuinely don't know what else to do. I'm super distraught because I'm worried if they keep fighting then my mom is gonna make me get rid of Oli. Any help is much obliged. Thank you so much.
