Is it a good idea to hire a bloodhound to track a missing indoor cat?

She has been missing for almost 3 days. I have food, clothes, and a humane trap set up outside with no luck. No sightings of her since the first night.

I was recommended by a neighbor to use a k9 tracker, but he ultimately said the dog never even found his cat. In my research I found that indoor cats are more likely to bolt than outdoor cats when faced with a k9. I’m afraid if she runs, she’ll be irreparably lost, where if I just wait patiently, she could just come back on her own.

So my choices are to keep waiting and hope the trap lures her in, or use a k9 and pray it doesn’t chase her further away. I am so torn. I just want my kitty back.
