Sorry if this is the wrong sub, I couldn’t find a better one.
So, I caught a mouse and it is currently in a maybe 18 inch tall white plastic trash can, covered with a piece of glass (not sealed).
It has a towel, which it burrows under, a cardboard tube, which it has been chewing, and a variety of food I googled as appropriate.
We are in an insane cold snap so I didn’t want to put it outside tonight.
The issue is the mouse goes from calmly cleaning itself, etc. to jumping repeatedly to get out.
It is making 18” vertical leaps repeatedly. I don’t want it to exhaust itself. I even tried covering the glass so it wouldn’t seem open at the top.
I am wondering if there is another container, etc. that would be better.
