Is leaving your cats alone at home okay?

My friend A left the country to go visit her family. As her best friend and neighbor, I offered to take care of her cats (I'm not getting paid to do this). She is gonna be away for 2 months. Since one of her cats has bladder issues, and he doesn't like to drink water, I have to feed him water with syringe everyday. My friend was thinking about taking her cats to a cattery or a animal hospital before, but she doesn't think these facilities are going to take care of them well enough.

Both of her cats are shy and very scared of other cats. I want to take them back to my place but I already have 2 cats at home. (I have tried to take one of them back to my place and he seems extremely frightened by my other cats. I just gave up on this option. I also live in a small apartment. )

I'm okay with going up there every single day, feeding them, taking out cat litters, etc. But I feel extremely guilty for leaving them alone. I feel like I'm the person who leave them there. Every time when I'm about to leave, they will follow me around and stay by the door because they know that's where I come in and leave. I usually tried to stay at my friend's place as long as I can. Sometimes for an hour or more just playing with her cats, and sometimes I will come twice a day just to check if they are okay. But I really don't have that much time to stay with them 24/7. I mean I have school, I have work, and I also have my own cats to take care of.

Our mutual friend B offered to take care of them, but they will be going to her house. Since B has a cat herself at home, and her cat is quite aggressive. She will have to put them in one of her room. I think that is still better than the case where I go up and take care of them, because there is someone always home and know what they are doing.

However, my friend A doesn't want to move her cat to B's house because A is afraid that moving her cats to a new environment might cause issues (since her cats are so shy. )

A keep telling me it is okay to leave them alone. Her cats are already staying alone for half a month right now. (With me going up everyday to change their food and water etc. )

I REALLY DONT THINK leaving cats alone at home is a good idea, even though they have enough food and water. I think they need more attention and people around to play with them, because that's what I do with my cats.

Now what should I do? Please help.
