Kitten has weak hind legs after short play, should i worry? Any similar experiences?

have a kitten about 5,5 months old. I got him at 4 months old and i've been playing a lot with him with no problems. I usually go play with a stick with a feather attached where i let him chase and catch it for 10 mins then 1 min break then 10 mins again til he is tired. He gets to run a lot and release energy this way. This has worked fine and has helped me sleep at night. But now all of a sudden when i play with him after about 7 mins when i take a break, he lays down and like he is tired in his hind legs. He then tries to walk but only manages to push himself forward on his stomach, which mean he has some strengh still in the back legs. Anyways if i take the stick back and start play again he imideately starts running as normal. But if i leave him alone he will lay streched out like this or walk wierd for about 10-15 minutes before turning to normal again. I'm just worried, is this normal, like just a sign of exhaustion or is something wrong? I tried to google for someone who had similar experiences but couldn't find anything exept cases the same but the hind legs where completely paralysed, and it always ended with death, hence my worry. Anyways i'm thankful for any answers!
