So I adopted a 1.5 y.o. cat in August as a quarantine companion since I live alone but lately (in the past month or so) she has become increasingly clingy and craving attention. I've been working from home and I'm unable to focus on my work as she is almost constantly clawing at my chair or the couch in order to get my attention to play. I've gotten her dozens of toys to try and keep her occupied but she only cares about ones that actively involve me (wand toy, laser pointer, etc). I've tried getting automatic versions of those but she isn't interested in them. I'm at my wit's end trying to figure out what she wants and why she can't just keep herself entertained throughout the day so I can focus on my work. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Edit: Getting another cat as a companion for her isn't an option since my apartment doesn't technically allow pets and I'm only able to have her as an emotional support animal
