New kitten (feral) is waay too rough with older cat

A month ago, I took in a 5 week old feral kitten (female) I found on my driveway. When she plays, she doesn't hold back. I've been training her to be more gentle with treats when playing with me, and it seems to be going well.

However, when she plays with my two year old cat (female), the kitten doesn't take no for an answer. My kitten will pounce on my cat biting her hard and even when she growls, hisses, and swats at her to back off she won't listen. When my cat tries to run away she chases after her. My cat is gentle with the kitten no matter what. When I separate the kitten into a different room she will poke her paws out from underneath the door. My cat runs over there to playfully swat her back and seems to really enjoy this.

They are only together when I'm there to watch over them. I've tried punishing the kitten by isolating her in a room for a few minute. But when I let her out she just runs over and pounces on my cat. I'm not sure how to show her she needs to be gentle when playing with other cats.
