Rabbit, cat or chinchilla?

I'm starting to get pretty desperate about getting a pet. I look at all the dogs outside in the dog park every day and is constantly sad because I can't have one due to working way too much

I miss my cat that lives with my parents, she is starting to get really old. I have had hamsters but due to my work I never saw them unless now ant then when I would carefully wake them up. I was also unable to get the last one really tame and it would bite me when I didn't have a treat for her

So I have limited my choices between rabbit, cat and chinchilla

(Rats and birds was eliminated due to them peeing and pooping everywhere according to research)

Cats are pretty hard to come by where I live, I have tried adopting cats but due to me working a lot and cats that are in needs of homes are half feral they don't want to adopt any to me. I am also unable to let the cat roam outside and therefore people don't want to sell older cats to me. I don't have time to raise a kitten, with litter training etc. I'm also a bit conflicted about having a cat go bonkers during the night since my partner already has insomnia. I also have a mild cat allergy so cuddling would always follow me having to wash my hands

Rabbits would be extremely easy to get one, they are more or less giving them away. I could give up a pretty big space in my living room for one where it can be when I'm not at home or have a "bunny house" on the bigger balcony where it/they could hang out. I'm however a bit conflicted about them pooping everywhere as well (even if their poop is a harder) and people saying they are hard to care for รค, more expensive then a cat and hard to get tame. I'm also a bit allergic to normal hay and it's hard to get quality hay where I live

We had a chinchilla when I was 5yom they are really really hard to get one and you need to sign up as soon as the pregnancy is confirmed. Their enclosure would be easier for me to set up in my living room but I'm unsure of how tame they can be and how "trained" it can be. I'm also unsure of having it free roaming like a bunny or a cat can would work. The only thing I remember from the one we had was that it was super fast and impossible to get a hold on when we needed to clean the cage, it never got tame

I'm ofcourse going to do more research and I also have an allergy test booked so I can see how allergic I actually am. Just wondering what your +/- are?
