Can someone give me tips on how to take care of my neutered cat? My 7 months old cat had his surgery on 5th November. It was really difficult to give him anesthesia and he was screaming, hissing and running around the hospital, somehow the surgery took place and the vet asked me to put his e collar on for at least 6-7 days. I only take it off when he has his meal because he starts to lick his stitches whenever he gets the opportunity. It been 3 days that he have his collar on and He looks really upset with the collar And I am worried about his mental health, the vet says there is nothing to worry about but looking him like this hurts a lot. He gets a little aggressive when I have to apply ointment at that place (maybe because the ointment make him want to lick his balls? Or gives a irritating feeling). Can someone give me tips on how to take care of him more? Also I have to take him to the vet again to remove the stitches, my cats behaviour while taking anesthesia put me in a great shock, I am really anxious to go to the vet again and witness all of it, and more than that, making my cat to go through that suffering again. What if he doesn't stay still had hurt himself? I kinda regret it, seeing him in pain hurts a lot and the fact that I made him go through that and left him with life long trauma is unbearable :(
