My mom's been really wanting a kitten lately - she doesn't directly say it but it's always offhand comments and I know she's missed having one since her cat passed about three years ago. But since then she's gotten dogs. A shih tzu, a dachshund and her oldest a chihuahua mix. I'm wanting to adopt her one for Christmas but worry that the first two will be too rambunctious with it. They wouldn't attack her, but I know they would try to play with her and sometimes with their sizes though their not that big can put some heft with their bouncing and their little nips they give. So I'm wondering if it would be a good or bad idea to get one for her.
