5 years ago we adopted our lovely cat Charles. He was already 6 years old at the time we adopted him. Yes he is neutered. There is also an other female cat in the house. For the first years we never had an issue. Approximately 2 years ago we notice he took a liking in really soft covers. Once in a while he would have sex with the blankets. We didn't take it to seriously since it was occasionally. In the last year , the act has definetly increase to multiples times a day. He makes a repetitive hip movement as if he is fornication with the blanket then licks his genitals. We decided to remove them as much as we can , but if we leave them out even only for a minute he will get on them. We also try to spray him in the face with water when it's happening but it doesn't help. He knows it's wrong but he seems to need to release. Its gotten to the point were he is having sex with our child's bunny because he is desperate and doesn't have access to blankets. We obviously cannot remove every single item that soft in the house and this is a concern for hygienic reasons for our child. We love our cat and we really want to understand and solve this issue.
