I had to take painkiller and a couple of drops fell on the floor accidentally. I heard a licking noise and saw my cat near the drops, and immediately cleaned it up after. I know that painkiller overall is toxic to cats, but I’m not sure what quantities would be bad enough to cause an adverse reaction. I will be keeping tabs on him over the next couple of hours and made sure nothing else spilled. It would’ve been a very very small amount (a normal dose is 30 mL and the amount he could have ingested would’ve been very small/less than a drop, but I obviously don’t want to take any chances. Is there anything I can do to make sure he’s ok? Do I need to take him to the vet/ER now or just make sure he’s okay over the next couple of hours?
