just to preface this, i have already asked my vet about her behaviour. however their response was quite vague and they asked me to monitor my cat, and so far i have not found any symptoms of illness. during her last vet checkup in mid-march, the results showed that she was healthy. im taking this to reddit since google’s reasons for bed peeing ranges from serious illnesses to behavioural issues which is wayyyy too big a range 😭😭
ever since about early march, whenever my cat goes into my bedroom, she almost always pees on my bed. she pooped on my parents’ bed a few times as well. i googled ways to prevent this and carried them out: her litterbox area is isolated and its regularly cleaned, and we dont let her into bedrooms for a few weeks after she pees to prevent her from developing a habit. since she was adopted, we also used the same brand of litter her previous fosterer used for her.
however, just today, she snuck into my bedroom and peed on my bed again 🥲 could any cat owners with similar experiences share any tips to prevent this? i’m more than happy to answer any other questions as well. thanks a ton!
