Hey there I'm a student studying animal welfare and management. I know my fair share about animal training, animal welfare and everything in between.
I have an issue with the relationship between my cat and my dad.
I know how to train a cat but I cant train my dad.
My cat wont go hear my dad, shes scared of him. When a very nervous cag but she loves me and my mum. I suspect she just doesnt like men since she wont go near my brother either.
I need advice on how other have tried to condition their cats into like people. Or at least help them be more comfortable.
My dad feeds her treats and tries to pet her. But he ask chases her. I tell him to stop and he gets mad at me for wanting to get a cat that was nervous.
I give him the educated facts that cats, like people can just be nervous and he just calls her "stupid waste of space"
We are getting 2 new kittens in 2 months and I am worried sick how my dad will react if those kittens learn of my cat.
