Hi all,
My 3 year old cat has to move in the next month and unfortunately last week he had his first obstruction. hes back from the hospital and is doing great on his c/d rx diet, but i do believe his trip to the vet and his vaccinations this stress caused his negative reaction resulting in his blockage.
Sadly we have to move at the end of the month and we are going across state lines. I opted to fly (3hrs total travel time) with him rather than drive (11 hrs travel time). hes never been in a plane but im hopeful that he will do alright and it wont be as stressful.
I do plan on giving him gabapentin before the trip to have him be less stressed but im still extremely worried that this stress of the move will cause another obstruction. He is moving back into a house he already lived which is good it isnt all new.
I just wanted to ask here if theres anything else i can do for him to make him less stressed and therefore less likely to re obstruct.
