I recently adopted an extremely affectionate nine-month-old kitty, who loves to be around me nearly all the time. He'll usually give me a bump, maybe rub whatever part of my body is closest to him with his nose and then he'll proceed to passionately lick me for a couple of seconds. However, when he does this, he usually targets my face, more specifically my forehead and/or my beard.
I don't mind the sensation and I find it sweet that he does this, however, I'm not sure if it's entirely hygienic. I wash my face most of the time afterwards. Is it okay for him to keep doing it? Am I possibly risking getting sick at some point because of it?
