Kitten Vomited 4 Times In 30 Min

Some key info here;

  • My kitten is approximately 15-16 wks old, I adopted him 4 weeks ago from a friend and haven't changed his food since his arrival (which he surprisingly had almost no negative reaction to). He's had his first general vaccine and is going back for his second next week. Not getting him the FIV just yet because he's solely an indoor cat for the time being.
  • He ate dinner about 2 and a half hours before he started vomiting.
  • Since I got him he'd start hacking as if he had a hairball every few days so I've taken to nightly brushings to help him with that - from what I could see there wasn't any hair in the pile, only his dinner (in the first 2 at least, the second 2 were just liquid).
  • I've checked his gums which look fine to me (maybe a little pale??), he's still walking around and playing with his brother as if nothing happened, and his stomach looks even.
  • He's always been good at keeping himself hydrated, and after throwing up went to his bowl and drank.

So yeah basically he threw up 4 times in the span of 30 min, with the first 2 being his dinner. I'm not entirely sure if it's just because he ate too fast tonight? I feel like if it was that he would've thrown up earlier, but I'm not a vet nor do I have much training in animal healthcare.

After the first 2 he was cuddly and seemed confused, then he decided he felt fine and went to play. He's gone about 20 min now without issues but I'm still a little concerned. Are there any other checks I'd be able to do at home? Anything I should be concerned about?

I'll definitely keep monitoring him over the next few days but yeah just wondering if anyone has some advice - it would be much appreciated!
