My dog was rushed by a raccoon tonight. I don't see any bite marks but am I over reacting in wanting to take him to the vet first thing in the morning?

So tonight I was walking my dog before going to bed for the night. He was curious in the trash cans by the house but I didn't think too much of it. Next thing I know a raccoon is hissing and my dog barks. It was dark out and I didn't get a great view of the 5 second incident but the raccoon did run away. I immediately got him inside and checked him for any bites or scratches. I don't see any injuries, but I'm definitely concerned about any future interactions with raccoons.

He was adopted about a year and 2months ago from the shelter and was adopted with all of his shots. I know a rabies booster is given between every 1 and 3 years. Would taking him in to the vet tomorrow be over kill?
