I have 4 cats who have their vaccines but I'm not 100% that they have the feline leukemia vaccine and the veterinarian said they likely wouldn't have gotten it since they're indoor cats and the shelters here don't really do that vaccine as a standard. I'm getting them tested in 30 days as the vet recommended but I'm extremely stressed.
The cat was in a separate room for most of the time he was in the house, but he escaped the bathroom for about two hours. As far as i know they didn't have any physical contact. The cat wasn't aggressive at all. I'm worried about if the cat potentially used my cats litter box or food dishes. I threw out and replaced the litter box and I'm sanitizing the food dishes which are stainless steel and ceramic. What are the chances my cats may have it?
Sorry if this isn't what this subreddit is for, I'm just really scared right now. My cats are my everything and the fact that this whole situation happened has really upset me. I'm getting them tested and if they come up negative they're all getting the vaccine.
Edit: the vet also told me that since all my cats are older they're less likely to have it. My youngest cat is approximately 7, my oldest is 15.
