Please help me figure out the correct amount to feed my kitties!

Let me preface this with the fact that I’m probably an idiot.

Anyways, I adopted two stray kitties that were sick and malnourished. I am feeding them Hill’s Science Diet wet and dry food. But the feeding guide on each item isn’t clear enough for me. For instance, the wet food says 1 can per day but is that if I’m JUST feeding them wet food or is that in combination with the 1/4 C dry food? Is it separate?
