Hi I've adopted from shelters before and never thought it even possible for me to consider returning one but I need advice bad. We decided to adopt again from another shelter. The cat hides constantly and I know this is normal at first but was beginning to warm up to us. Then he came down with an eye thing and its impossible I mean impossible to administer this eye cream to him and you have to do it 3-4 times a day and from the talk of it the lady at the shelter made it seem like an absolute piece of cake. The cat now hates me and refuses to come near me or my partner. He will sit in the middle of the room and even if we so much as move he bolts behind something. I'm afraid that his health will suffer if we keep him because I'm not strong enough to hold him down to give him this medication for the rest of his life and perhaps someone else is more equipped then myself and I feel so horrible. He won't let me help him and all the progress we were making is down the drain. My cat who was fine with him at first now hisses at him and I just feel like he does not like us. He plays and walks around but wants nothing to do with us and I just need advice. I've been crying hard about it and am so disheartened and feel evil because I do love the cat and it hurts to think like this.
