Idk if animal control is the right word but my roommates recently got a new dog (I believe a mix of lab and pit but not 100 percent sure) but I’ve noticed that they keep him in a cage. Yell at him and blame him for using the bathroom after being hrs left alone. I didn’t know they got a dog until I came home from work one day, I’m rarely home because I’m at my friends place, I don’t interact with them a lot so honestly it took me a while to notice that they never asked for someone to walk the dog. I didn’t notice that they keep him in the cage most of the time, one time I came home and one of my roommates (the one that paid for it) was sitting on the couch while the puppy was in the cage. I texted my other roommate after I came back from vacation and the apartment smelled like shit, that they need to get rid of the dog or find someone to walk him while they are at work. He claims the puppy is out of control but he loves him and wants to keep him. Idk they yell at the puppy almost every night. At this moment my roommate is telling him to shut up because he is whining. They want a chill dog but didn’t even take time off to train him, they went on vacation right after they got him. Anyways I think the puppy deserves better. Our place isn’t a crack den lol we live in a nice neighborhood I just don’t think my roommates are mature enough or have an understanding of animals. My roommates are 27 and 34 years old but still not mature.
