Hey everyone!
My girlfriend and I just adopted a 12 year old chihuahua. She was being good about using her pee pads and going outside for all of one day, and then she decided she'd rather pee on the carpet. She knows she's doing something wrong because when we shout her name, she immediately stops. We've tried taking her outside and standing in one spot to go pee (she's anxious during walks and takes forever to pee then as well)--and all she does is shake and try to move back towards the direction of the house. We don't mind her using pee pads, but we know friends may not like it as much if they dog sit her and would ideally like her to go outdoors! Any advice? She seems so anxious outside that half the time she can barely focus on peeing.
