I apologize if this is the wrong forum.
To start, I cannot call the authorities on my neighbours because there is none here.
A little bit of background. My landlord is my aunt. I'm never late with rent and used to cook dog food for their 2 dogs that live here daily for over 2yrs because my aunt lives 4hrs away. In general they restock monthly, but sometimes they would forget to restock meat/rice for the dogs so I would have to buy the rice/meat/canned fish. As normal people who live on a budget, spending an extra $50+ a month on pets that aren't ours seemed unfair. But I would still make sure the dogs had eaten every single day.
Until about 3 months ago when my aunt called and told me she'd be sending money monthly to my neighbour (we're not related but they live in another flat on the same property) so that my neighbours could take over and feed the dogs from then on. I felt a bit bad but I was relieved to save some gas money and dog food money altogether. I think this year my aunt thought I fed them bones because twice over one weekend she told me not to feed them bones. I have NEVER fed them bones even though I have seen her feed them bones at least twice when she's come around.
My problem now is that my neighbours feed them anything and everything. Rotten experiments from the back of the fridge, lamb bones and fish bones. These dogs are vomiting every second day. One of them seems a bit fatter so maybe only 1 is doing the vomiting. This makes me sad and right now I wouldn't mind putting up with the extra monthly payment just to not have these dogs eating gross dinners.
I've been told by my sister to tell my aunt about it regardless of how she'll act or tell the neighbours how it's done. I don't want to do either because my aunt can get unreasonable with people and I don't want to come off as bossy to my neighbours since I'm related to our landlord. Also the neighbors are generally nice, they just don't seem to care about how to feed dogs.
I actually cannot take seeing them eat like this anymore so I've decided I need to take some sort of action today. I need help in writing something that won't make her call my neighbours up angrily. Or how else can I approach it?
