My kitten is about to be 11 weeks old. He was found abandoned at 8 weeks old. The first week he was incredibly playful, sweet, and chill. But the past 2 weeks… it’s been the same except he’s very bitey.
I can’t tell if it’s just his age and this is a phase or something more. Even when we’re actively playing with a wand toy or something else he can chase he’ll sometimes change gears midway and just go for the hands/arms or feet. It’s not even the fingers as much as grabbing onto our arm and trying to chomp down on the wrist.
We’ve tried distracting him with other toys or treats, slowing moving the body part away and saying no, and sometimes hissed like a momma cat to get him to stop.
I just want to nip this in the bud before it becomes a bad habit and danger. Please help!
