My fiance has 2 cats and I have been wanting a pet for a while. She is not comfortable with dogs so I have been trying to think of another pet to get. I am realy not a cat person and want something else. I am looking for a pet that can bond with its owner, play, and likes to cuddle. We both work though so it has to be able to be left with her 2 cats from 9 to 5. We have a backyard that we can let our pets out in, but I would prefer a pet that mainly stay inside with us.
I have thought of rats but they terrify my fiance. I have had ferrets. I loved them but am not wanting to repeat that experience. We both loved the idea of chinchillas, but there is no way they would get along with the 2 cats. I have just been totally unable to think of a good pet that could fit these criteria. I would love some help. Thanks!
