Hi everyone ! New cat owner here and my kitten keeps crying or meowing.
Today is the kittens first day home and for the first part of the day she’s just been really scared and hid for awhile. And then she played for a short time and then went back to hiding. We decided to leave her alone until she was done hiding. After around 4 hours, the kitten started meowing and it’s been almost 12 hours since she’s home and she is constantly meowing. She runs when we go near her but starts to cry/ meow once we leave her room.
Im okay with her meowing but I’m not sure if she needs anything due to her constant meowing since she hasn’t touched her food, water or litter box yet. (I tried showing her the location of everything but she kind of just ran away and hid again).
Please let me know if you guys have any tips on what to do and how I can get her to eat and drink water in the upcoming days 🥺!!
