I recently got a I think 2 year old husky. An acquaintance of mine rescued a husky from someone and I don’t think he was abused horribly just a bit more neglected because the girl who gave him to me said she had to cut his hair it was so matted. He hasn’t been responding amazingly to commands and is very picky about treats. I’m hoping for some tips on how to bond with him better and some suggestions on what to try to get him to listen to me. My acquaintance insists he’s fully trained and said I need to be more stern with the dog, but I’m having a hard time even getting him to respond to basic commands half the time. Tips, suggestions, advice, please?
