Hi guys, I'm here to ask about permanent urinary incontinence for dogs..and to see if anyone has similar story like mine? I appreciate all comments and advices!
So my story is... I fostered 8 months old female dog for 10 days from a pretty famous local rescue, and during my fostering, I realized that she had some medical issues in her history that nobody at the rescue told me about before taking her to my home.
Later on, when I contacted them to talk about the dog's symptoms, this girl from the rescue told me that she had common UTIs and treated her with antibiotics two times, and thought she no longer has those issues ( clearly not, because she was having all kinds of symptoms of UTI and Urinary Incontinence while I was taking care of her.)
And another girl told me sth totally different that something went wrong to my foster dog in her Spaying surgery, and she might have PERMANENT Incontinence issue that leads to putting her on a permanent medication and frequent vet visits for forever her life. And she added, the medication for this issue is very expensive and also bad for her body and she might be ending up with other medical issues due to the medication. ( I don't remember the exact name but it started from S)
Mind bugged by what they just told me because they said they haven't even visited vet yet according to them..How do they know all this?
I've been considering adopting her eventually, and now my heart is broken. They wanted me to drop her off back to the rescue and I miss her so much! I feel like they're hiding truth behind, and I'm here to ask how bad it is to have permanent urinary Incontinence for a puppy, and how I can treat the dog if I still want to adopt her and live with her forever..
Thanks for reading this long ass post. Appreciate any comments!
