Pet Insurance Advice

I have healthy paws for my 7 year old chihuahua. I've had it for about 5 years now and have been happy with it. Reimbursements were quick and without hassle. The only issue I've had with them lately is the price increase to the monthly payments. Recently they've gone up $20 and the reason they gave is its just the anniversary premium. I think it has to do with the age of my dog even though they say its not. I've seen they've been sued a few times for price gauging and am worried it will continue to go up a crazy amount. I've considered switching to a new company but am unsure which one. So far petsbest looks promising. Has anyone had any experience with petsbest so far? Should I switch plans or stick it out with healthy paws?

My dog so far doesn't have any pre-existing conditions other than his anal glands get clogged every couple of years. He's had a few emergencies when I first got him that quickly racked up medical bills which is what originally got me to get insurance. I know most people don't think pet insurance is worth it but I prefer to have it since my dog is so little and fragile. Any help would be greatly appreciated :)
