Hi everyone, unpopular opinion but stop adopting pets if you aren’t going to do what it takes to care for them. Their whole world revolves around you and it is absolutely disgusting to see people who don’t understand this. When you adopt a pet, you are adopting another member of your family. You need to pay attention to changes in their behavior and bodies and get them medical treatment when you notice the problem, not weeks after they have stopped eating or walking or that lump has grown into the size of a basketball. This isn’t rocket science. Pay attention and help them.
If you can’t handle this responsibility, and it is a financial and moral responsibility, don’t adopt.
