Hello.
My lifestyle is very "spontaneous" In a way.
I just became and adult and am going to be moving soon and i thought having a pet companion to keep me company would be a nice thing.
I do have a cat, however she is more of a family pet and won't be coming to live with me.
I am a Martial artist and i spend alot of time training in various Martial arts gyms very frequently, i also spend alot of time working out in general. I know i won't be able to keep a dog because i won't be able to walk it in the mornings since i go on a nice long run almost right after waking up, and i wouldn't want to exhaust the dog by taking it with me for example (among other reasons).
My profession is modeling which means the schedule is pretty flexible, however its not very predictable so i can't plan ahead for it.
And as i already mentioned in the title, i do travel alot and i can't have a pet that couldn't handle me being gone for a day or two or possibly having the ability to come with me.
I DO have free time thought, my training is usually done in the mornings and sometimes evenings and i know i have plenty of time to take care of a pet in that time frame. But there will be instances where i won't be home for a night, or possibly be traveling around for up to a week for example. Which is why i know i can't have very high maintenance pets like lets say a ferret, or a bird.
I've heard snakes and geckos are good for people like me because they can be left alone for a while if need be, and could possibly travel along with me too?
Thing is, i don't want to get a pet that i won't be able to take care of properly. (Obviously)
Frankly im currently leaning on not getting a pet.
But, i still wanted to ask if there is a pet (if any) that you think you could recommend to me? I do respect animals and don't want to make a bad decision, which is why i'd love to hear other pet owners input.
Thank you in advance.
